Chrissie Todd is a New Zealand based Artist

Chrissie Todd’s work inhabits the space where colour, perception, and material history converge.
Her paintings draw on colour psychology and the phenomenon of pareidolia, inviting viewers to find unexpected images and emotional resonances within layered surfaces.

Working with commercial paints and salvaged construction materials, Todd transforms utilitarian products into vessels for memory, association, and play.

With a career rooted in the New Zealand paint industry, she brings a rare fusion of technical expertise and aesthetic sensitivity, using her deep knowledge of colour systems and coatings to shape her practice.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Todd completed her MFA at Whitecliffe College in 2023.
